SAS Institute - Translucent Skylight

Project ID: 21392
One of the main goals in designing the SAS Institute campus buildings in Cary North Carolina was to incorporate Green strategies. With this goal in mind, we installed a 19,200 sq. ft. Quadwall® translucent skylight system, specified in white matte over clear glazing, to help reduce artificial lighting costs and minimize heat gain within the building. Our skylight provides an abundance of glare-free, natural lighting to the office space and lobby below while offering a unique aesthetic for the interior and exterior of the campus building. Other green strategies implemented by the SAS Institute include rainwater reuse for toilets and irrigation, solar panels, and vegetated roof areas - all of which, combined with our skylight system, granted the campus LEED Platinum certification.
