The Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, an expansion of the Memorial Auditorium, needed to replace the existing skylight that had deteriorated. We supplied 1,370 sq. ft. of our Quadwall® translucent skylight system to replace the original skylight to provide uniform, natural daylighting to the auditorium while minimizing glare and heat gain. The Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts received the 2002 AIA North Carolina Honor Award, the 2002 USITT Architecture Merit Award, and the 2003 AIA South Atlantic Regional Merit Award for its design.
