Fort Campbell's mission is to further develop the combat expertise of troops, and the Kinnard Battle Command Training Center at the base takes Army combat training to a new level. Using the Virtual Battlespace 2 (VBS2) program, soldiers experience advanced simulations involving convoy tactics to develop their skills and build confidence prior to being deployed. The new facility uses cutting-edge technology with a hefty price tag, so it was important to cut operational costs as much as possible while still providing appropriate lighting. We installed 9,670 sq. ft. of our UniQuad® translucent wall system at the facility to reduce electricity and energy costs for the Center while maximizing natural daylighting. The polycarbonate panels also minimize glare, allowing soldiers to focus on their training while still receiving the health benefits of natural lighting, including boosted Vitamin D levels, productivity, and concentration.
