Devon Yard Project - Translucent Skylight System
Devon Yard Project - Translucent Skylight System
Project ID: 42599
Urban Outfitters Inc's newest venture, a six-acre lifestyle center in the heart of Devon Pennsylvania, opened in late 2018 after much anticipation. The Devon Yard Project includes retail, dining, and community space designed to reinvigorate the all-day shopping experience and acts as a prototype for similar lifestyle centers across the country. One of the new facilities on the property, the Terrain Cafe and Garden, features 2,970 sq. ft. of our ice white-glazed Quadwall® translucent skylight system. Urban Outfitters and NewStudio Architecture wanted a greenhouse-aesthetic for the restaurant that achieved a high level of building energy performance. Our polycarbonate skylight system, which is typically used on greenhouse roofs, provides the desired welcoming and airy vibe while significantly reducing glare and heat gain for those visiting the cafe.
