THE CHALLENGE: The Navy base needed an energy efficient solution to reduce solar heat gain into the space when unoccupied, while providing ample daylighting when the space is in use.
THE SOLUTION: IntelaSun® controlled daylighting gives users the ability to manage daylighting via a central wall controller.
CPI Daylighting provided 22 vertical window units measuring from 15' x 10' to 10' x 20'.
A central wall controller allows users to manually manage the amount of daylighting that enters the space, reducing solar heat gain and saving on air conditioning expenses. During system set-up and training, the wall-lights were adjusted to deliver the optimal amount of daylighting, reducing artificial lighting demands and energy costs.

Intelligent glazing gauges the sun's position, then dynamically manages the desired sunlight transmission and shading inside the space
A wall controller provides the user with manual or fully automated management of daylighting levels for optimal performance
